The weather is also begins to get colder by days, and our immune system is weakened by the changes of the weather. Garlic stimulates the activity of immune system cells that destroy cold and flu viruses. And onions actions quercetin, a nutrient that break down mucus in your chest while boosting your immune systems, onions also contain allicin which slows down and kills a variety of viruses and bacteria.
Fish/ Omega 3
Oily fish such as salmon, tuna are rich in omega 3 fatty acids,compounds that help reduce harmful inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation prevents your immune system from working properly, and can contribute to colds and flu as well as more serious diseases.
All tea such as black, green, or white, contains a group of antioxidants known as catechins, which may have flu-fighting properties.
